Now this is what causes the most attention. As I've said before, the city sent the company Trost and Trost to design and construct the school. The type of architecture used in this school was Greco Roman Architecture which has many details in it. Some BIG IDEAS that CONTRIBUTE to the ORIGIN of the architecture are the CONNECTIONS it has to other PARALLEL places. These are some examples:
One of these places is "Portico of Octavia" which is in Rome. This was the inspiration of the design. This building was built in honor of the Emperor's sister who had died. Later in the years, the building was used in many ways. It went from temple, library and government to a fish market, to a church. Nowadays it isn't anything important. Its just a nice place to stop by.
There was also a building which related to it. It is the Pantheon of Greece. Obviously this pantheon was built for Athena as a replacement of one that was destroyed years before. It is taken as a very cultural place in Greece. Its architecture relates in a way to the architecture done in EL Paso High School.
There are also many other buildings that have PATTERNS and PARALLELS to EPHS. Also many other buildings were built by Trost and Trost, co. There is one in El Paso that is the most similar to EPHS. They both have the same amount of DETAILS and structure. It is the Scottish Rite Temple Theater. right now it is in the corner of Santa Fe and Missouri street.
